Zack Sabre Jr. loved Orange Cassidy long before it became cool to be an Orange Cassidy fan.
ZSJ defeated Cassidy at AEW x NJPW’s Forbidden Door last night. He then praised Cassidy at the press conference following the event.
ZSJ said, “I don’t believe there’s another wrestler in the entire world who respects Orange Cassidy as much as I do.” “I’m sure that anyone who knows my personality, or my taste in film and music, thinks I’m a pretentious wanker. But I knew that Orange Cassidy is cool way before you all.”
“10 years ago I would have been at the match stand, watching the match and losing my mind, if I had been on before Orange Cassidy. The crowd would have shouted, ‘What’s this maniac? ‘”
“We’ve both wanted this match since a long time,” said he. “Obviously, I had hoped that it would happen last year, but it didn’t.”
“If anyone is ignoring how talented Orange Cassidy at pro-wrestling is, they are a f**king fool,” he continued.
ZSJ will continue his trip to the United States later this month when he is scheduled for NJPW x CMLL Fantasticamania on July 13 in San Jose. He will team up with Bad Dude Tito to face Hechicero & Virus in a tag-match on the show. ZSJ will then be entered into G1 Climax 34 which starts on July 20 in Osaka. He will play his first match against Tetsuya on July 21, after he’s been entered into the B Block.
