Yuka Sakazaki was injured during AEW Rampage.
Sakazaki, during her match with Emi Sakura at Saturday’s show tried a springboard on the top rope. However, she tumbled awkwardly outside. She was limping after the match and favoring her left leg.
Dave Meltzer writes that Yuka Sakazaki’s leg injuries in her fight last night with Emi Sakura in Peoria, IL were real. As of this morning, it was not clear what the exact injury was and its implications. She fought through the match, but the injury changed things.”
Sakazaki won with a suplex at 9 minutes and 30 seconds.
Sakazaki graduated from Tokyo Joshi Pro in May last year, as she plans to move to the United States by 2024. She returned to AEW at the Collision on April 3, defeating Trish Adona in her debut match. She also wrestled Leila Gray on Wednesday’s ROH tapes in Indianapolis. The match will be shown on a future ROH episode on HonorClub.
