The Young Bucks has advanced to the finals of the AEW Tag Team Title Tournament.
Matthew & Nicholas Jackson defeated Best Friends on AEW Dynamite (Trent Beretta & Orange Cassidy), becoming the first team to reach the finals of this tournament. Matthew Jackson slingshot Beretta onto an exposed turnbuckle, then rolled him for the win.
The second semifinal will be held at AEW collision late Saturday night, when FTR and Top Flight face off. The finals will be held at AEW Dynasty in April.
Sue Beretta, the mother of Beretta, applauded as Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor and Beretta hugged each other after the match. Beretta, however, did not hug Cassidy. Instead he walked away from Taylor and his mother and laid Cassidy out.
FTR and Top Flight advanced to the semi-finals in last week’s Collision. FTR defeated The Infantry while Top Flight shocked the world by defeating Big Bill and Rick Starks, former champions.
