Xia Li announces her first post-WWE match in todays Wrestling news
The first official date of Xia’s return to the ring has been announced. She will compete at this year’s West Coast Pro Queen of Indies Show.
The event will take place in San Francisco on Saturday, August 17, California. Amazona, Keyra and Maya World are among the other women who have been announced so far.
The 35-year old will now be known as Xia, and she will make her first appearance since a loss in April 2024 at WWE Main Event. She was released in April 2024 along with other wrestlers like Jinder Mahal and Xyon Quan, Veer, and Sanga.
Kitsune Women’s Wrestling confirmed last month that she would be a part of a upcoming show, but has not yet provided the exact date.
Li was in the WWE system from January 2017 following a tryout held in Shanghai, China. She made her in-ring debut in July of the same year at the Mae Young Classic. She spent several years with NXT, before being called up to the main roster after being drafted by SmackDown in the summer 2021.
She never won a gold medal in WWE or NXT, despite competing for a title.
