WWE WrestleMania forty night one main event official in todays Wrestling news
Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins will be facing The Rock & Romans Reigns at WrestleMania on Saturday.
The main event for WWE WrestleMania 40’s first night is now official.
The Rock & Roman reigns will take on Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins during the first night of WrestleMania on Saturday, April 6 in a tag-team match.
The match was announced on Friday’s SmackDown episode, where all four competitors engaged in a confrontation in the ring. Rollins & Rhodes took up the challenge from Rock & Reigns for the WrestleMania match on last week’s SmackDown.
The Bloodline was allowed to freely interfere in the match if Rock & Reigns won. The Bloodline is banned from the building if Rhodes & Rollins win the tag team match.
A second stipulation was made for the Universal Title match on night two. If Rhodes loses the match, he will never be able to challenge Reigns again for the Universal Title.
SmackDown was taken off the air while the WrestleMania contestants were still in the ring. WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H’ Levesque announced the official match in a post on social media shortly after.
