Fans can now watch the WWE Women’s Championship Match between Bayley and Meiko.
On July 27, WWE’s Tokyo house show saw the legendary Satomura face Bayley for first time. Bayley won the match with a Rose Plant, and she remains WWE Women’s Champion. The two competitors exchanged respect after the match and Bayley left to allow Satomura to spend some time with the crowd.
Bayley tweeted that the match had been uploaded: “Ask, and you shall receive!” I hope you guys like this as much as me.”
From July 25-27, three WWE house shows took place in Japan. The other two events saw Bayley, Satomura and Bianca Belair defeat IYO SKY & Kaira Sane & Dakota Kai & Tiffany Stratton, in eight-woman tag match. This was the first visit by WWE to Japan since 2019.
Bayley will defend her WWE Women’s Championship this Saturday against Nia Jax. Stratton who holds the Money in the Bank Briefcase has also been positioned to be a threat to Bayley’s title reign. Stratton tried to cash in on a moment during the Bayley vs. Satomura bout, but Satomura stopped him.
Satomura announced that she will retire in April 2025. In April 2025, Satomura will celebrate the 30th anniversary since her debut in pro wrestling. Satomura was signed by WWE after joining NXT UK in 2021 as a wrestler/coach. She also runs the Sendai Girls Promotion in Japan.
