WWE star Asuka shares update on knee injury in todays Wrestling news
Asuka looks like she has undergone surgery.
Since WWE Backlash, she has been sidelined with a knee injury. She posted a picture of her braced knee on social media on Wednesday.
Asuka revealed last month on her YouTube channel she was taking a break to treat a persistent knee injury.
“After my European tour with Backlash, I took a break from the tour to treat my injured knee,” she wrote on the video. “My partners Kairi, and Dakota helped me greatly during this tour because I was unable to move at my best. I am very grateful for both of them.”
Asuka was seen favoring one knee at the end of the SmackDown episode on March 15, 2024. She was then pulled from the house shows that weekend. It was reported at the time that Asuka would be undergoing more testing to determine if she could recover from the injury. She returned to the ring at the beginning of April, where she wrestled alongside Damage CTRL with Jade Cargill and Naomi against Bianca Belair. Her last match took place at Backlash, when Kairi Sane and her were defeated by Cargill & Belgill.
