WWE splits Raw & SmackDown Tag Team Titles, New Champions Crowned in todays Wrestling news
The new champions are Awesome Truth and A-Town Down Under.
WWE has once again two tag team champions.
WrestleMania night one saw the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Titles split in a six-pack ladder match. A-Town Down Under, consisting of Grayson Waller & Austin Theory, won the SmackDown belts while Awesome Truth, consisting of The Miz & R-Truth won the Raw belts.
Since May 2022 the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team title has been unified. In Saturday’s ladder battle, the two sets were hung separately above the ring. The match was only to end when both sets of belts were recovered.
Waller & Theory won the SmackDown title first. The match ended with a crowd pleasing moment when Truth defeated The Judgment Day to win the Raw titles for Miz and him.
Damid Priest & Finn Balor, from Judgment day, were the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions going into WrestleMania.
The New Day (Kofi Knox & Xavier Woods) and New Catch Republic, (Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate), were the other three teams competing in the ladder match.
