WWE SmackDown to feature Women’s tag team title match next week in todays Wrestling news
Next week, Carmelo Hayes & Austin Theory are also scheduled to rematch.
Next week’s WWE SmackDown will see Asuka and Kairi Sane compete for the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Asuka and Sane, reuniting as The Kabuki Warriors, will face Katana Chance and Kayden Carter on Friday, January 26, for the Women’s Tag Titles. Chance & Carter successfully defended their titles on this week’s SmackDown by defeating Alba Fyre & Isla dawn.
Next week, Carmelo Hayes and Austin Theory will also face off in a rematch of the SmackDown from January 12. The match between Carmelo Hayes and Austin Theory on last week’s SmackDown ended in a no-contest after both were injured from a bad fall after a botched flatliner.
The Pride (Bobby Lashley & Montez Ford) will face off in the ring with The Final Testament next week in a segment announced on Friday’s episode.
Carlito will also face Santos Escobar next Friday on SmackDown.
The January 26 SmackDown is the go-home show for next Saturday’s Royal Rumble. The announced lineup:
- Women’s Tag Team Champions Katana Chance & Kayden Carter defend against Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane)

- The Pride & The Final Testament face-to-face
- Carlito vs. Santos Escobar
