WWE SmackDown’s New Year’s Revolution will feature a triple-threat match to determine who will be the next challenger to Roman Reigns’ Undisputed Universal Championship.
The winner of the match between Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles at Royal Rumble, January 27, will face Roman Reigns, the Undisputed Universal champion, as announced on Friday’s SmackDown.
Nick Aldis, SmackDown’s general manager, set up the match in a promo segment involving Styles Orton and Knight.
The finals of the United States Championship competitor’s tournament will take place on Jan. 5.
Kevin Owens defeated Carmelo Hayes, and Santos Escobar beat Bobby Lashley to advance to the finals. The winner of Owens and Escobar will then face Logan Paul at a later time for the US title.
Michin will face IYO SKY in a New Year’s Revolution SmackDown match for the WWE Women’s Championship. Michin pinned SKY during a Holiday Havoc Tag Match on this week’s SmackDown, setting up the title match.
Butch and a mysterious partner will also face Pretty Deadly’s Elton Prince & Kit Wilson at the New Year’s Revolution Show.
