WWE SmackDown will crown the new number one contenders for the Tag Team Championship on August 16.
The Street Profits, consisting of Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford, will face DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa), in the finals next week. The tournament is to crown the new number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship currently held by The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu.
The four-team tournament began on this week’s SmackDown with the Profits beating A-Town Down Under and DIY defeating Pretty Deadly. Both teams advanced to next week’s finals.
Next week’s SmackDown will also feature a celebration of the new WWE Women’s Championship Nia Jax, hosted by Tiffany Stratton.
The Friday, August 16, WWE SmackDown episode will also feature Kevin Owens vs. Grayson Waller and Naomi vs. Blair Davenport.
