Today, it was revealed that WWE & NOAH would be making a’major announcement’ at NOAH Grand Ship 2024 in Yokohama Japan this Sunday (16th June). NOAH posted on social media that:
BREAKING: A MAJOR announcement will be made by NOAH & WWE at our Yokohama BUNTAI on Sunday! A message from a wrestler will be released as well!
Yasuaki OKamoto, the new president of CyberFight, stated last month that he wanted to strengthen CyberFight’s relationship with WWE. CyberFight is the parent of Pro Wrestling NOAH DDT and Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling.
WWE will return to Japan in April for the first time since 2019. From July 25-27, there will be three WWE House Shows. The events will take place in Osaka, Tokyo and other cities.
Kaito Kiyomiya will defend his GHC Heavyweight Championship in Grand Ship 2024 against NJPW wrestler Gabe Kidd. The show will be broadcast live on WrestleUniverse with English commentary. In Japan, the show will stream on Abema. Abema also broadcasts WWE in Japan.
