Fightful Select reports there was concern behind the scenes that Gacy suffered a concussion during a match on the show against North American Champion Oba Femia. The referee threw up the “X”, which is a sign of a real injury, and stopped the bout.
A planned announcement of a Gacy vs. Shawn Spears Match for Saturday’s Stand & Deliver Kickoff Show was delayed.
The report states Gacy was able make it backstage on his own after being checked by medical personnel in the ring, and that Spears’ match was announced as planned.
This would indicate that Gacy has passed a concussion test, but the report doesn’t state this explicitly.
