WWE Clash at Castle Undisputed title match stipulation set in todays Wrestling news
Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles has been confirmed for Clash at The Castle — with an additional stipulation.
Styles and Rhodes will be fighting for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Clash at Castle in an “I Quit match.” This was announced on SmackDown. The event will take place in Glasgow, Scotland, on Saturday, 15th June. The event will be streamed live on Peacock at a special time of 2 p.m. Eastern.
Rhodes, who was duped and laid out by Styles last week, was looking to get back at him tonight. He tried to call Styles to the ring but security rushed in to stop him. Styles demanded Rhodes give him the title shot at Clash At The Castle. Rhodes agreed, and announced that the match would be an “I Quit” match. Nick Aldis, SmackDown’s General Manager, approved the stipulation.
Rhodes tried to fight Styles but was stopped by the remaining security. Styles took advantage of the situation and gave Rhodes a cheap blow.
This will be Rhodes’ second televised match. Aldis refused Styles a rematch after Styles lost at Backlash to Rhodes. He said that he would have to be pushed to the back. Styles faked retirement last week to get a second shot at Rhodes.
