WWE Clash at Castle adds Intercontinental title match in todays Wrestling news
Chad Gable will be competing for the Intercontinental title again.
Sami Zayn, Akira Tozawa and Otis were in the ring on Raw when Maxxine Dupri appeared. Dupri read out a note that said Gable wouldn’t be at the ring to face Zayn, and then proceeded to mock the rest of Alpha Academy. Zayn agreed that if Gable said he wanted a second Intercontinental title fight, he would defend the title at Clash at the Castle in June against Gable.
Gable jumped Zayn from behind after he accepted Gable’s Challenge. Zayn made a comeback, but accidentally hit the ropes during the brawl. This caused Dupri and Tozawa both to fall to the floor. Otis, who was conflicted by the incident, blamed Zayn and slammed him with a forward smash.
Gable later praised the Alpha Academy for the work they did, ignoring the fact that Tozawa & Dupri were injured in the accident. Gable told Otis he was proud and that they would win the Intercontinental title with him.
The lineup for Clash at the Castle so far:
- World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest defends against Drew McIntyre
- WWE Women’s Champion Bayley defends against Piper Niven
- WWE Intercontinental title: Sami Zayn defends against Chad Gable
