After the WWE Backlash Fireflies entrance, Jey Uso received a text message from JoJo Offering in todays Wrestling news
JoJo Offerman was moved by Jey Uso’s “Fireflies”, entrance at WWE Backlash.
The crowd created a special entrance for Uso at the May 4 event in Lyon by holding their phones up and moving along with him. It was similar to the way fans used their phones to create “Fireflies”, for Bray Wyatt’s entrance.
Offerman and Wyatt, (Windham Rotunda), were engaged to marry and had two children before Wyatt’s tragic death in August 2023. Uso said on the Battleground Podcast he received a message from Offerman when she saw clips of her Backlash entrance. Her emotional response solidified Uso’s desire to continue using the entrance.
JoJo Wyatt, Bray Wyatt’s wife, texted me to tell me how emotional she was watching. She watched clips on YouTube and that was enough to convince me. I hope it stays with me, man. I didn’t ask for it. They did it, and I want to keep it now.
Offerman was a former WWE ring-announcer.
Backlash was the very first WWE PPV/PLE from France. Uso lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Damian Priest. Uso stated on the Battleground Podcast that the crowd was his favorite wrestling experience ever.
Since Backlash, Uso is competing in WWE’s King of the Ring Tournament. He will face Gunther on Raw next Monday in the semi-finals.
