The Miz and R-Truth received new title belts.
WWE has announced new World Tag Team championship belts and crowned the new number one contenders.
The Miz & R Truth, former Raw Tag Team Champions, were presented with their new title belts during an in-ring presentation on Monday’s Raw. On-screen authority figure Adam Pearce & WWE Chief Commercial Officer Paul “Triple H Levesque” performed the ceremony. Miz & R.Truth won Raw Tag titles at WrestleMania in a ladder-match that saw Grayson Waller & Austin Theory win the SmackDown Tag Titles, splitting the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship back into two titles.
Triple H announced the title renaming, presented the new belts to the champions, and then Pearce announced that a triple threat match would be held for the World Tag Team Championship.
The Creed Brothers’ Julius Creed & Brutus Creed defeated The New Day’s Kofi Knox & Xavier Woods and DIY’s Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano in a triple threat match. They are now the number one contenders for the new World Tag Team Titles.
The title match has not yet been scheduled.
