WWE announces its first-ever licensing agreement with NHL in todays Wrestling news
WWE and NHL have partnered together for the first time to form a licensing agreement.
WWE and the National Hockey League announced today an agreement to produce WWE Stanley Cup champions Legacy Title Belts. The belts will commemorate this year’s Stanley Cup Finals winner and will be available for purchase after the series is completed. The Florida Panthers will face the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night.
A press release stated that the WWE legacy title buckle prominently displayed the Stanley Cup – the oldest and most coveted trophy in sports.
The belts can be purchased on NHL Shop and WWE Shop as well as Fanatics.
WWE has also partnered with the NFL and MLB in order to produce custom-made title belts.
In the coming weeks, wrestling programming will be challenged by both the Stanley Cup Finals as well as the NBA Finals. If the Stanley Cup finals go seven games, then the series will end on Monday, 24th June.
