The wrestling community pays tribute to Sid Vicious.
On Monday, social media was flooded with tributes from wrestlers as well as promotions to the former WCW/WWF champion. WWE played a video tribute to his career and achievements during Raw.
Shawn Michaels was among those who paid tribute on the internet. He lost the WWF Championship at Survivor Series 1996 to Sid and won it months later at the Royal Rumble 1997.
“Saddened by the passing of Sid Eudy,” he posted on X. “An unforgettable personality, and it cannot be overstated the role he played in bringing “The Heartbreak Kid” to life. His work, legacy, influence, and impact will inspire our business in the future,” he wrote.
Sid’s Son Gunnar shared on Facebook the news of his Father’s death at age 63 earlier on Monday. He had been fighting cancer for many years.
