World Heavyweight title added to MLW Battle Riot 6 in todays Wrestling news
“Filthy Tom Lawlor” is going to have a chance at dethroning Satoshi Kojima as the MLW World Heavyweight Champion.
MLW announced that Kojima would defend his World title on Saturday, June 1, against Lawlor in Battle Riot VI. The show will be held at Center Stage Atlanta and will be broadcast live on YouTube.
Kojima holds the World Heavyweight Championship as well as Tag Team titles in MLW. Last month, Lawlor & Davey Boy Smith Jr. vacated their MLW Tag Team title after Lawlor was killed in an attack by Contra Unit. Kojima and Okumura won the vacant belts.

Kojima is the MLW World Heavyweight champion since February. Lawlor held the title previously for five months in 2019
The Battle Riot event will be headlined by MLW’s Battle Riot match. This is a 40 man battle royal, where the winner gets a shot at a future World Title. The confirmed entrants include Matt Riddle, Sami Callihan and Mistico. Timothy Thatcher, Ernest ‘The Cat’ Miller, Davey Boy Smith Jr. Bobby Fish and actor Paul Walter Hauser.
