Willow Nightingale defends the TBS title in Japan.
During AEW Collision, it was announced that Nightingale would defend her title against Tam Nakano during Stardom’s Flashing Champions on May 18, in Yokohama. Stardom confirmed the match on their X Twitter account.
Nightingale last appeared in Japan at NJPW Strong’s Independence Day event last July. She lost the Strong Women’s Championship to Giulia.
Nightingale defeated Julia Hart to win the championship at AEW Dynasty in last month. Since then, Nightingale has continued to defend her title. Last week, Nightingale defeated her former friend Skye Blue, in a Manitoba Massacre, a falls-count-anywhere match. The match ended when Nightingale threw a doctor bomb at Blue through a barbed-wire table.
On May 26, AEW Double or Nothing will be hosting a match between Nightingale vs. Mercedes Mone in Las Vegas. On Wednesday’s Dynamite, the two will sign a contract.
