William Regal makes surprise WWE NXT Appearance at Roadblock in todays Wrestling news

William Regal made an unexpected appearance in Tuesday’s WWE NXT Roadblock Special.
In his second appearance on WWE TV after rejoining the company 2023, Regal interrupted the celebration of the new NXT Heritage Cup champion Charlie Dempsey at Roadblock.
Regal said that the Heritage Cup was of utmost importance for him and that he would be keeping an eye on the No Quarter Catch Crew, as they defend the Trophy under the “Catch Clause,” where any member of a group can defend it.
Dempsey said that he could defend the Cup better than Regal, a reference to the fact that Dempsey was Regal’s real-life son. Regal acknowledged Dempsey’s son status in a December social media promo, but it has not yet been incorporated into NXT storylines.
After being released from WWE in January 2022 he had a stint with AEW, where he was the manager of Blackpool Combat Club as well as an occasional commentator. This lasted between March 2022 and December 2022. He returned to WWE as Vice President of Global Talent Development in January 2023 after asking AEW to not pick up his 2023 contract option. AEW agreed but stipulated that he couldn’t appear on WWE TV before 2024.
Regal returned as a television personality on the episode of NXT that aired on January 23, 2024 as an authority figure, naming Ava as the new general manager for the brand.
