Will Ospreay, aided by Daniel Garcia, is the AEW International Champion once again. He defeated blood rival MJF in Sunday’s All In at London’s Wembley Stadium.
A masked black figure appeared on the apron and stopped MJF from punching Ospreay with some brass knuckles. He then revealed that he was Garcia, which shocked MJF.
MJF then yelled and screamed at the emotionless Garcia whom he had knocked out of the competition on July 3rd before turning into an Ospreay hidden blade. Ospreay fired up, delivering a Tiger Driver 91 that had been long-awaited to win the pin.
After the match, Ospreay refused the renamed American title from MJF and asked Christopher Daniels to bring the original International title he had lost to MJF in a match lasting just over an hour.
Ospreay’s second reign as International champion ends after 39 days. He had previously defended the gold against Templario and Michael Oku, both in CMLL.
The Garcia appearance appears to confirm that he has resigned a contract with AEW, as news broke in the last month about his upcoming deal.
