On July 17, Will Ospreay, the International Champion, will defend his title in the opening match of AEW Dynamite 250th episode against MJF.
MJF challenged Ospreay to a match in a promotional segment on this week’s Dynamite. Ospreay accepted the challenge immediately. Ospreay criticized MJF for his turn on Dynamite last week, when he faced Daniel Garcia. However, the commentary noted that MJF wasn’t at the arena.
The challenger instead threw down a gauntlet to the title bout next week in a video promo that was aired on NBC’s video wall from an undisclosed place.
Next week’s AEW Dynamite 250 will also feature a champion vs. championship match.
Next week, World Champion Swerve will face Continental Champion Kazuchika OKADA in a singles competition. Strickland confirmed Wednesday that he would be a member of Team AEW for the Blood & Guts Match set for July 24 Dynamite. Okada is also a part of Team Elite in Blood & Guts.
After Wednesday’s Dynamite was over, TBS Champion Mercedes Mone announced that anyone could challenge for the TBS title of Dynamite 250. Britt Baker is excluded.
