Ospreay responded to a thinly veiled jab from Triple H on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite to respond to an appearance by Ospreay on the Pat McAfee Show last Friday.
Triple H stated that he was not able to sign a free agent who had not been named.
“When I see people who have tried to make it, and then choose the job they get, “Well they work less, their schedule is lighter…okay, then I am glad I didn’t pick you because if your not in it for that grind at that early stage in your career, you don’t belong here.”
Ospreay noted that he delivers in the ring and proposed a theory on how Triple H rose up to the position as chief content officer for WWE:
“I’m delivering some of best professional wrestling matches the world has ever seen.
Normaly, I would not fall for this type of bait. You are not in a position to tell me about the grind, my friend, since you don’t know what I fight for.
Let this be a little jab and a gentle reminder that you don’t throw stones at an assassin who has a machine gun.”
