Wendy Choo, a WWE NXT wrestler, wrestled her first match since nearly a year on Tuesday night.
Choo did not appear in Tuesday’s NXT, but she worked a match as part of the NXT Level Up tapes. She defeated Wren Sinclair.
NXT level up airs on Peacock on Fridays at 10 p.m. Eastern Time.
Choo wrestled for the first time since May 2023 when she defeated Eleanor Lopez & Lola Vice in an NXT level up episode.
Choo has been out of action ever since. Choo wore a knee brace during her return match on last night. Choo, in a play on her sleepy comedy persona, joked that she just woke up from a ‘long ass nap.
Choo, 32 years old (real name Karen Yu), has been signed by WWE since joining the Performance Center on February 2019. Karen Q, formerly known as Karen Q, wrestled in ROH.
Choo was a member Tian Sha and played Mei Ying before switching to her current gimmick.
Choo appeared with the rest NXT at the Performance Center in 2024 during the WWE Draft. She was not one of the NXT wrestlers who were called up to Raw and Smackdown.
