The Ultimate X match is set at TNA Emergence for the X-Division Title.
The X-Division Championship will be contested by six competitors at Emergence on 30 August, with the final two spots determined in qualifying bouts Thursday on TNA Impact.
Hammerstone defeated KUSHIDA, Frankie Kazarian and KUSHIDA in a triple-threat qualifier on TNA Impact on Thursday to qualify for Emergence. Laredo Kid won the other qualifying match on Thursday, defeating Jai Vidal & Bhupinder Gujjar. This earned him the last spot for the Ultimate X match.
Laredo Kid, Hammerstone, Jason Hotch and Zachary Wentz will join current X-Division champion Mike Bailey, WWe NXT Riley Osborne, and Jason Hotch in the Ultimate X match at Emergence. Bailey will defend the X Title on the Emergence go home edition of Impact on Thursday against Rich Swann.
Four matches have been announced for Emergence to this point. Emergence streams live at 8 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, August 30 on TNA Plus. The lineup:
- TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth defends against Josh Alexander in a 60-minute Iron Man match
- Ultimate X match for the X-Division Championship: X-Division Champion Mike Bailey defends against Zachary Wentz, Riley Osborne, Jason Hotch, Hammerstone & Laredo Kid
- Matt Cardona vs. PCO
- Jordynne Grace, Jody Threat & Dani Luna vs. Ash by Elegance, Masha Slamovich & Alisha Edwards
