Two teams advance to the semifinals of the AEW Tag Team Title Tournament in todays Wrestling news
The tournament will have two semifinals to crown the new champions.
On Wednesday’s Dynamite, two teams advanced to the semifinals in the AEW Tag Team Title Tournament.
The Young Bucks, Best Friends and Best Friends all won on Wednesday to advance to the semifinals of the tournament.
Matthew & Nicholas Jackson, of The Young Bucks, defeated Private Party’s Isiah Kaassidy and Marq Quen during a quarterfinal bout on Wednesday. Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta from Best Friends defeated Undisputed Kingdom’s Matt Taven and Mike Bennett in a quarterfinal match played on Dynamite.
Next week, the two teams will face off in the semifinals on Dynamite. The other quarterfinals matches are scheduled for Saturday’s AEW collision episode. FTR will face The Infantry and Ricky Starks & Big Bill will take on Top Flight.
The finals for the AEW tag team title tournament will be held at the Dynasty pay per view on Sunday, April 21, 2019. The tournament winner will replace Sting & Darby Allen, who vacated the AEW tag team championship following Sting’s retirement this month.
