Two matches confirmed for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in todays Wrestling news
Forbidden Doors has officially added two more matches.
On Monday, AEW & NJPW announced that Jon Moxley would defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on the show against Tetsuya Nairo. Orange Cassidy vs. Zack Sabre Jr. has been added to the official lineup.
On Sunday, NJPW Dominion hosted a match between Naito and Moxley. Moxley, after his victory over EVIL put out a call for someone to challenge Moxley on the June 30, pay-per view and Naito accepted. Moxley defeated Naito at NJPW Windy city Riot to win the title in April.
ZSJ challenged Cassidy in a pay-per view match that aired Saturday on AEW collision. Cassidy won the AEW international championship at Forbidden Door last year in a four-way fight against ZSJ and Daniel Garcia.
Six matches are now confirmed for the show, which takes place at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. NJPW World TV Champion Jeff Cobb has also issued an open challenge.
