Paul “Triple H’ Levesque appeared in front of Philadelphia fans at the start of WrestleMania night one on Saturday. WWE’s Chief content officer welcomed the audience to WrestleMania and also welcomed them to a brand new era.
Levesque, after his entrance, said: “Man I live for this.” “Welcome a new era. Welcome to a brand new era. Welcome to WrestleMania.”
It is the first time ever that Vince McMahon was not involved with WrestleMania. McMahon quit WWE and TKO Group Holdings in January of this year after the allegations of sexual abuse made against him by Janel Grant. The lawsuit was filed by Janel Grant against McMahon and WWE.
Levesque stated that he believed WWE was in the middle of another “white hot” era, similar to the Attitude Era. Levesque believes that this era is just beginning.
Cody Rhodes suggested “The Renaissance Era”, as a tagline, for this period of WWE. Rhodes registered a trademark on April 3 for the term.
