WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 will be held in a former WrestleMania venue.
The company announced today that Elimination chamber will be broadcast live from Rogers Centre, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on Saturday, March 1, 2020. Tickets have not yet been announced, but fans are welcome to sign up for pre-sale information when it becomes available.
The Rogers Centre, formerly known as SkyDome, hosted WrestleMania VII in 1990 and WrestleMania VIII in 2002. Raw hosted the largest crowd ever in show history at the SkyDome with more than 40 000 fans.
In a press statement, Paul “Triple H’ Levesque” said that Canada is an incredible place to host our largest Premium Live Events. With its passionate fans and rich historical background that spans decades, Paul “Triple H’ Levesque” said. “On the heels a record-breaking Money In The Bank event this past July, We are excited to return Toronto for an even bigger event in 2025.”
The Elimination Chamber 2025 takes place just over a week before WrestleMania.
Toronto was the eventual destination of Elimination Chamber 2025, but the United Kingdom had been the original frontrunner. This is the second year in a row that the PLE will be an international stadium event. Elimination Chamber was held in Perth, Australia, back in February.
