AEW’s Tony Khan told CBS Sports it was a “top-priority” to resign Bryan Danielson, whose contract expires in August.
Khan revealed the timeline in an interview. He said that Danielson’s contract expires before All In at Wembley Stadium, and that he was optimistic that Danielson would stay.
“I’d like Bryan to remain forever here, in a dream world, in whatever capacity he would stay with us. I hope Bryan finishes his wrestling career in this country. “I would do anything to make it happen,” Khan said.
Danielson has stated that this is his final year of being a full-time ring talent.
“I don’t think he will wrestle full-time, but I hope Bryan stays with me in the office for ever.” I talk to Bryan almost every day when I can. I hope this will continue for as long as we both live.
The 43-year old made his debut with AEW in September 2021 at All Out. He will be joining FTR and Darby Allen at Sunday’s Double or Nothing match against The Elite (Young Bucks Kazuchika Okada, Jack Perry & Kazuchika Ohada) in Anarchy in the Arena.
