Okada was appointed president of Stardom by the Stardom Board in November.

Tony Khan announced on X Wednesday he had met with Stardom President Taro Okayada in advance of AEW’s Big Business.
He wrote: “It is an honor to have the President of We Are Stardom, @tokada_mh4e, here with us this evening at @tdgarden for Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite!”
Bushiroad, the parent company of Stardom, fired Rossy Ogawa in early February after he was accused by the company of trying to poach wrestlers to start a different promotion. Ogawa denied these accusations, but he did confirm that he was forming a brand new promotion.
Mercedes Mone will be making her debut on Wednesday’s Big Business Dynamite. Mone, who left WWE in 2022 and won the IWGP Women’s Championship, debuted for NJPW in the following year after leaving WWE. She appeared for NJPW and Stardom, but suffered an ankle injury in 2023 that prevented her from competing for the remainder of the year.
