Tony Khan is open-minded about a future women’s Blood & Guts fight.
Khan told the Battleground Podcast it would be fantastic to have the women’s division compete at Blood & Guts someday. He believes the best time to have it happen is when AEW has a healthy number of women’s stars who are intertwined with the right story. Khan believes that the division is at its strongest point ever.
“At some stage, it would be fantastic to have a Women’s Blood & Guts Match. Khan said, “I think you need to have a lot people involved in [the] story and a bunch of healthy people.” “We’re building a great team, and our women’s squad is stronger than ever today,” Khan said. And I’m very excited about it. “I think it would be fantastic if we could get to a point where the story is coherent and we have enough people involved.”
Willow Nightingale, Skye Blue and other wrestlers have expressed their support for a Blood & Guts women’s match. Blue told WGN Radio in January that Blood & Guts was her favorite Dynamite episode, and that she wanted to be “so bad” in the cage.
Blue said, “To be first woman to participate in a Blood & Guts fight — I would cry.”
Blood & Guts, AEW’s WarGames, is a version of the game. Since 2021, it has been a special episode on Dynamite. This year’s Blood & Guts event will take place in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday, 24th July and pit Team AEW versus The Elite.
