Over the weekend, TNA Wrestling filmed its television show in Newport, Kentucky.

AJ Francis, a former WWE wrestler (Top Dolla), defeated Laredo kid on Sunday to win TNA Digital Media Championship. This is the first time Francis has won a championship outside of the independents.

Francis is a member of the TNA heel tag team along with Rich Swann. Their duo is called First Class.

Francis has also competed in MLW and NWA after his WWE career.

The Digital Media Championship first appeared in 2021. Since then, Jordynne grace, Matt Cardona and Swann have held the title. Joe Hendry has also held it.

Laredo Kid only held the title for a month, after winning it from Crazzy Steve in Rebellion.

TNA Impact will air matches from the Newport, Kentucky tapings in upcoming episodes.
