TKO continues to undergo departmental changes following the merger of the WWE and UFC Live Events teams.

The newly-named Live Events Strategy Team, announced via a Thursday press release, “will drive revenue growth strategy across key areas including live event development, scheduling, tourism incentive program, ticketing, as well as fan experiences.” This new structure aligns TKO’s efforts in leveraging the power and expertise from both UFC, and WWE to maximize event revenues and pursue growth opportunities.

Both entities are focusing on generating site fees for shows. This includes weekly TV events like Raw and SmackDown.

Peter Dropick, a long-time UFC executive, will lead the group. He will work alongside TKO leadership, Dana White and Nick Khan as well as Paul Levesque and Paul Levesque in order to help bolster efforts.

Both companies have been tearing up the box office for a while. In the release, WWE noted that it “set 54 individual records for gross and paid tickets for all event types including 17 consecutive sellouts of televised events” in Q1.
