The Road to Tokyo Dome Tour began today at Korakuen Hall.
He defeated Yashinobu Kannemaru in the Whiskey on a poll match at today’s Road to Tokyo Dome Show at Korakuen Hall.
According to KOPW rules only the title-holder at the end a calendar is considered a KOPW champion. All other title holders are considered Provisional Champion. Taichi is now the only wrestler to have been crowned KOPW champion, joining Toru Yano (2021 & 2020) and Shingo Taagi (2022).
Just Five Guys and House of Torture both tried to equalize the score in today’s KOPW match. Taichi won the match by hitting Black Mafisto.
Chick Fritts, our own Chick, described the match as a “total slog” due to needless interference, inconsistent sales, and pointless excess. “Oh, it lasted 30 minutes.” It was incredibly boring if it wasn’t actively infuriating.
On today’s NJPW, Drilla Maloney & Clark Connors as well as TJP & Francesco Akira also set up a match that will be held on Friday. The Bullet Club War Dogs brought a coffin out before their match on Friday and declared that Catch 2/2’s career was dead.
Moloney said, ‘We have been saying for the past year that Catch 2/2 was dead and that you wouldn’t stay down. So we’ll just need to hit you in here.
TJP & Akira, however, were not intimidated and challenged Connors & Meloney to a NJPW coffin-match on tomorrow’s show. The two teams will also face off at WrestleKingdom 18 for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Titles.
The main event of today saw Kazuchika Ishii, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Tomohiro Tanahashi successfully defend their Six Man Tag Team Championships, against the United Empire team consisting of HENARE Great-O Khan, and Jeff Cobb.
