Strong Tag title match confirmed at NJPW New Beginning Nagoya in todays Wrestling news
The event will take place at Dolphin’s Arena on Saturday, 20 January.
NJPW has released an update regarding the lineup of New Beginning in Nagoya.
The promotion announced on Sunday that the Hikuleo & El Phantasmo vs. KENTA & Chase scheduled match for the show would now be for Strong Tag Team titles. The announcement comes after ELP & Hikuleo successfully defended the titles against Alex Coughlin & Clark Connors at Battle in the Valley on Saturday. The IWGP Tag Team Championships held by TJP & Hikuleo will not be at stake.
NJPW also announced the match rules for the KOPW at New Beginning in Nagoya. Taiji Ishimori’s proposed Ring Fit Match won 77% of votes, beating Great-O-Khan’s Bullrope Deathmatch. The match stipulation calls for both wrestlers doing 30 seconds of high intensity circuit training every three minutes.
Ishimori defends his KOPW belt 2024 against Tanahashi during a 10 minute Ishimori ring fit match. The clock will run for ten minutes, and the winner is the last title-holder at the end. At three-minute intervals, both athletes must stop for a 30 second circuit training. Who will win this challenging match type?
The event takes place at Dolphin’s Arena in Nagoya on Saturday, January 20.
