'Stone Cold Steve Austin' needs a knee replacement 'pretty soon' in todays Wrestling news

Stone Cold” Steve Austin will need a knee-replacement at some point in the future.

During an appearance on the BobbyCast in September, the 59 year-old wrestling legend talked about his history of knee injuries that date back to when he was playing college football. Austin said that he will need to replace his left knee “pretty soon.”

Austin said, “My first year of college at North Texas State University in Denton, Texas I was running down on kickoff coverage when I hit the guy I was supposed block. I fell down.” “I had never felt anything as intense in my left leg. It was a mop tear, where you tear the ACL in the middle, and the edges are frayed. That’s why it’s called a mop. They could repair it or not. They didn’t fix that knee based on my quads and hamstrings. So, anyway, this is what caused all my knee problems down the line. I had ACL and PCL put into my knees from cadaveric ligaments several year ago. You know, if you’re telling me the truth, which I will, I need to get a new left leg pretty quickly.”

Austin said he would be happy to appear at WrestleMania in his new state of Nevada, next April, if WWE had a good idea. Austin has said that his career in the ring is likely over. He believes that pro wrestling is a game for young men and understands reality.

Austin, who had been retired for nearly 20 years, came out of retirement in 2022 to face Kevin Owens during WrestleMania. He did not attend WrestleMania 38 or WrestleMania39.
