Sting explains his career goals in todays Wrestling news
Sting hopes that his consistency will be something he is remembered for.
Sting’s legendary career has only one match left after nearly four decades of ring time.
The AEW Revolution in Greensboro North Carolina will feature Sting’s final match. Sting & Darby Allin will face off against. The Young Bucks will face off against the AEW Tag Team champions in a tag match called a tornado.
The New York Post published an article on Sting’s upcoming Revolution farewell. In the article, Sting answered a question regarding how he wanted his career to be remembered.
I’d love to be known as Sting, the guy who brings it every night. Sting, the guy who has never changed. He was rock solid all through the years, and a man of God.
The 64-year old Sting also spoke about what he wants fans to get out of the retirement match.
I want wrestling fans to have fun. I want it to a night that people will remember, where no one will say, “Ah man, that was kind of sad.” You can tell that it has passed him by. It’s a good thing that he’s finished now.
I don’t like that. I want them saying, “Oh my God, how did he do that?” I want them saying, “The Bucks, Darby and Sting, all of them were so entertaining.” This is a night you’ll never forget. All I cared about was that.
The main Revolution card will be broadcast live on Sunday at 8 pm Eastern time. Zero Hour will air on social media and YouTube before the pay-per view begins. The pre-show begins at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.
