TNA Wrestling will be returning in January, just in case you missed it.
Impact Wrestling announced late in October at Bound for Glory, that it would revert to its old name beginning with the Hard to Kill pay per view from Las Vegas in January.
This will be the first TNA event since 2017.
In a press statement, officials from the company confirmed that the new name will be accompanied by a new look, “from the entrance to the turnbuckles in ring, to larger, more prestigious arenas and much more.”
After the announcement, I spoke with several members of my roster about their reactions to the change next month.

“I was hyped man, especially being in Chicago to hear the announcement live. It was a goosebump moment. I think we all thought it would be drowned out by CM Punk chants, or that the crowd would not understand what was happening. But they were super excited and haven’t stopped.
“The TNA chants are everywhere we go — a whole UK tour, Mexico. When I see people, they want to know more about it. They’re excited. I love to say that I am a “TNA wrestling superstar.” People are excited because the feedback has been 100% positive. I think it’s a great, huge step for the company and for everything.
“The company’s history spans over 20 years and includes some legendary moments, performers, and performances. It would have been foolish to ignore that. This product was the foundation of their childhood. They are now grown-ups, with children and their own lives. They’re sentimental, so it means a lot to them, and it has worked.”

“It is awesome and I get asked this question all the time when people ask me, ‘Who are you working for?’ (I tell them), ‘Impact Wrestling. They say: ‘Oh I don’t remember them, but do they remember TNA?
“It’s a topic that has been discussed a few years ago. There was talk about it when I first started at Covid, and you could hear rumblings about the changes and new things coming. It’s cool to be a part of something changing, as I was a part of NXT during that time when the indie people came in and NXT grew. Now I am a part of TNA, and to use the phrase “We’re f**king Back”

“Oh, I was jumping and squealing with joy. I grew watching the X-Division of TNA with Amazing Red, Chris Sabin and a whole bunch of other wrestlers. I’m very happy and honored to join TNA Wrestling in 2024.”

“I couldn’t have believed my ears. TNA Wrestling was always the heart and soul of Impact/TNA Wrestling. Since I signed with Impact in 2004, people have said, “Oh, you work at TNA.”
They still believe it. They still breathe it. When I do something in Impact Wrestling and the crowd goes wild, they chant “TNA, TNA.” I chant “TN Bey,” but that’s another thing. The crowd goes wild. They love it. They have always felt it inside.
“I went to my closet as soon as that was announced. I got off the road, and I went back home to Las Vegas.” I went into my wardrobe and pulled out my Shop TNA handbag that I had ordered from Shop TNA in 2010 when I unboxed it on my YouTube channel. Chris Bey was 14 years old. I was a tiny Bey, and when I see that bag signed by Don West (RIP Don West), I think, “You are working here.” You are a champion here.
“I am convinced that myself and Ace Austin make up the best tag team in this generation. As I mentioned earlier, the Motor City Machine Guns were the best tag team in TNA Wrestling history. Now, we are entering a new era and a new generation of TNA Wrestling.
“We get the opportunity to be the best tag team in TNA Wrestling, and we get the chance to inspire the new generation.” It’s so sweet, and I’m grateful to be the one to represent the company.
