Skye Blue is ‘beyond overwhelmed’ by the support of ROH fans in todays Show_Type news
Skye Blue was “overwhelmed by the support” she received after a fan incident occurred at this week’s Ring of Honor TV tapings.
A fan was thrown out of the taping for making comments that referee Aubrey Edwards described as “disgusting” and “vile”. Rachael Elling, Blue’s opponent in the match, called the remarks sexual harassment. Ellering said that she had never heard a wrestler being called such vulgar names during a match. Edwards and Ellering both said that the comments of the fan were more than just a simple teasing.
Blue sent out a tweet over night thanking everyone for their love and support. She wants to ensure that future generations of female wrestlers won’t have to face something like this.
The ROH taped was held at Rogers Place, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, in conjunction with the AEW Dynamite show on Wednesday night. ROH TV has yet to show any matches from the event.
Blue is aligned to Julia Hart in AEW. Hart will be out of action for a while after undergoing shoulder surgery. Blue lost to Willow Nightingale in a Manitoba Massacre match last week on Rampage, where they were battling for the TBS Championship.
