Shotzi suffers ACL tear at WWE NXT taping in todays Wrestling news
She is expected to miss nine months of work.
Shotzi will be out of commission for a little while.
The 31-year old confirmed her injury on Instagram Tuesday. Shotzi claims she has a torn anterior cruciate ligament and will need nine months of recovery.
Shotzi Write:
I have torn my ACL, which means that I will be out for approximately 9 months. I want to thank everyone who has checked on me. I am sorry for not responding. I am so angry and devastated. Some of you may know that I have been through so much in the last few year and it’s been hard to keep up what I think is required of me. My mental health was at an all-time low. But I’ve made it through and I felt motivated and like me again. I wanted to go to NXT so that I could prove myself, gain some respect, regain my confidence, and put the heartache of the past two years behind me. I feel defeated but I am also feeling the most motivated that I have ever felt. I’ve been through worse. I’ve seen my sister, who has cancer, fight harder battles. I’m taking this as an indication to slow down. I was really affected by the fact that I didn’t stop working when my stepdad and dad died. I’m looking forward to returning not only physically stronger but also mentally. ^.
Shotzi suffered the injury on Tuesday, when she was competing against Lyra Valkyria to win the NXT Women’s Championship. NXT double-taped the match last week, and it will air tonight.
Shotzi was originally scheduled to wrestle Tiffany Stratton on SmackDown in an Elimination Chamber qualifier match last Friday, but Alba Fyre replaced him.
