Shotzi receives stem cell treatment for back injury in Mexico in todays Wrestling news
Shotzi hopes stem cell treatment can help her with a chronic back injury.
The 32-year old has been out since February due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) sustained at a NXT taping. She posted on Instagram recently that her time off due her knee injury allowed her to get stem cell treatments on her back in Mexico.
“I finally got the stem cells in Mexico that I wanted since I injured my back two and a half years ago. The fact that my knee injury has given me the chance to heal my back is a huge plus. Thank you @rejuvstem. Thank you Universe. I am forever grateful. When I return, I will be able to wrestle without pain! Shotzi wrote, “But first coconuts and cenotes!”
Shotzi’s back injury is not known, but she spoke in a video produced by Mondragon Chiropractic, on February 12, 2022. She said that she had recently experienced intense lower-back pain after a match.
“It was really bad. The next morning, I woke up and found it really difficult to get out of bed. I could not crawl or put pressure on my knees. I had to slide off the bed. “I’ve been away for a little while.”
Shotzi missed the majority of January 2022, but returned in the Royal Rumble match. She had worked five nights in a row on WWE’s holiday show to close 2021, where she wrestled Xia on each show. Shotzi missed the majority of February of that year before returning to wrestle Sasha Banks in the final SmackDown show of the month.
Shotzi, who got married in December, recently mentioned that she is planning to go to Japan soon for a late honeymoon.
“Planning to go to Japan for our honeymoon (that we finally have the time for)!” Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto/Nara send me your food, shopping, things to do recommendations!!!! Arigato gozaimasu! ” Shotzi wrote.
Shotzi, despite being injured, attended WrestleMania in Philadelphia in the early part of this year. He also attended the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
