Shawn Michaels said that the language barrier was one of his biggest challenges when working with Giulia Vaquer and Stephanie Vaquer.
The two new WWE signees won the main event on Tuesday’s NXT, and will face Cora Jade at Halloween Havoc. Michaels was on Busted Open Radio just before last night’s show. He said that he must be careful when he speaks to Giulia or Vaquer.
Michaels said that the most difficult thing for those with these particular talents right now is to communicate and make sure they understand what you are saying, especially when you talk about subtleties.
“Choosing my words carefully in both languages has been my biggest challenge.”
We’re also slowing down because of the language barrier. We’re being patient. I think that they are being unbelievably tolerant and I believe they’re trying to find a better way to communicate with you as well.”
In the final moments of last night’s WWE NXT show, another new signing made its debut as Delta, who is now known as Zaria walked out right before the show ended. Michaels spoke about the locker room reaction to the new names in his earlier appearance on Busted Open Radio.
“You can have a great relationship behind the scenes with people, but when newbies arrive and there’s excitement – there’s a good healthy competition going on right now in our women’s section because it’s so stacked. You have people coming in with outside fanfare, so to speak, but our girls take offense, and no one more than Cora Jade or Roxanne Perez.”
