Seth Rollins is ‘full strength for WWE WrestleMania 40 in todays Wrestling news
Rollins has recovered from a knee injury that briefly threatened his WM status.
Seth Rollins, despite a brief injury scare, is fully fit for WrestleMania.
Rollins will be in two big matches over the weekend. He will team up with Cody Rhodes to face The Rock & Roman reigns this Saturday in the main match of WrestleMania night one. On the second evening, Rollins defends his World Heavyweight Championship.
Rollins’ knee injury on the road to WrestleMania could have prevented this from happening. Rollins injured his knee when he faced Jinder Mahal in the Raw episode of January 15. The injury was not as serious as Rollins had initially feared. He suffered a partially torn and torn MCL, but not his ACL. Rollins has been cleared to return to ring in March.
Rollins spoke about the injury in a new Sports Illustrated interview.
It was not as bad as it could have possibly been. When I felt my leg go in a direction it wasn’t meant to go, my biggest fear was that this would be a repeat from 2015 [when he tore his ACL, MCL and medial meniscus during a match]. I would have had to give up the title and miss WrestleMania. All the hard work I put in over the past few seasons was gone, and I would have to start from scratch. This was not the case. I was able continue to work with the injury, tell stories and build rivalries. I always saw it as a half-full glass.
It breaks my heart that we missed a few Seth Rollins match on Raw, but it all works out the way it should. I’m ready for two nights of WrestleMania and happy to be at full strength.
Rollins wrestled for the first time on WWE TV since his injury. Since being cleared to return, he had been working house shows matches.
Rollins and Solo Sikoa faced off in a Bloodline Rules Match on Raw. The match ended without a conclusion after The Bloodline intervened. After the match, The Rock and Reigns whipped Rhodes and Rollins with a weighted belt.
