Seth Rollins defeats Jinder Mahal in todays Wrestling news
Mahal challenged for World title after social media chatter for a week.
After a week-long buildup and social media chatter about the World Heavyweight Championship, Jinder Mahal finally got his shot on Monday.
Mahal faced off against Seth Rollins, the World Heavyweight champion in last night’s Raw. Mahal received a lot of interference from the audience, but Rollins retained his title.
Indus Sher, Veer & Sanga, were at ringside during the match and interfered for Mahal. Indus Sher threw a cheap shot at Rollins while Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre distracted the referee. Priest considered cashing in Money in the Bank while Rollins was down and Mahal was also down, but McIntyre stopped him. Mahal landed a gutbuster following the cheap shot but Rollins kicked out.
Mahal was then even closer to falling. Indus Sher distracted again the referee and struck Rollins using the MITB briefcase. Mahal dropped Rollins using the Khallas but Rollins kicked just in time.
The referee ejected Veer and Sanga, Rollins avoided another Khallas and he stomped Mahal to retain his World Heavyweight Championship.
The Royal Rumble go home edition of Raw will feature a match between Priest and McIntyre. McIntyre blames Priest for trying cash in on his match with Rollins after he failed to win the World Heavyweight Championship during Raw Day 1.
Next Monday, Cody Rhodes will be in a face-to-face segment alongside CM Punk.
