Semifinals for WWE NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament in todays Wrestling news

On Tuesday, Tavion Heights and Lexis King won their first round matches.

The Men’s Breakout tournament has reached its semifinals.

In the NXT semifinals, which will air next week, Lexis King will take on Riley Osbourne while Oba Femi takes on Tavion Height. The winners of these matches will advance to next week’s NXT finals where they will earn a future title match.

King was the first one to advance on Tuesday, after pinning Dion Lennox using a swinging collarbreaker. Trey Bearhill attacked King after the match but King escaped. King was the one who attacked Bearhill last week with a steel-backed chair, allowing King entry into the tournament due to Bearhill’s injury.

Heights defeated Luca Cruscifino later in the final match of the first round, pinning Cruscifino using a twisting stomach-to-belly-suplex.

The Men’s break out tournament follows the Women’s breakout tournament, which concluded in October with Lola Vice beating Kelani Jordan at the finals. She can now challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship whenever she wants.
