Santos Escobar has turned on Rey Mysterio.

After Bobby Lashley defeated Carlito on Friday’s SmackDown, the Street Profits joined Lashley in beating down Carlito. Escobar hopped on the apron, but paused, still angry after Carlito accused him earlier in the show of costing Rey Mysterio the United States title at Crown Jewel. Rey Mysterio made the save and scolded Escobar before tending to Carlito. Escobar then attacked Mysterio, who fought back.

On the apron, Mysterio seemed conflicted about what he had done and tried to bring Escobar to his feet. Escobar instead shoved Mysterio into the ring post, causing Mysterio to fall into the ring steps. Escobar dropkicked the steps and argued with Zelina Vega before leaving.

Backstage, Cathy Kelly asked Escobar why he attacked Mysterio. Escobar replied that Mysterio had it coming before he left the arena.

At Crown Jewel, Santos Escobar chased away a member of Logan Paul’s entourage who had introduced brass knuckles into the match. However, Escobar left the knuckles on the apron, allowing Paul to grab them and attack Mysterio to win the match.
