The AEW Dynamite event in Calgary, Alberta Canada on Wednesday will feature a street fight between FTW World Champion Chris Jericho, and former AEW World champion Samoa Joe.
Joe and Big Bill have been in a feud with each other for several weeks. Also involved were Joe’s partners Katsuyori and Hook, as well as members of Jericho’s Learning Tree. Last Sunday, Jeff Cobb, Bill and Jericho were defeated by Hook.
On Wednesday’s Dynamite episode, Jericho and Bill attacked Joe, Shibata, and Hook after they defeated The Cage of Agony. They left them lying. Jericho then threw a flameball at Hook after another attack.
The match is not to determine Jericho’s FTW championship.
This will be the first time they have faced off in a singles match since April 2017, when WWE Raw was broadcast. It was only the second occasion that they had faced each other.
